In Memory of Abigail Medley

Abigail Medley #50 with the U18 Girls - Topeka Select Elite lost her life in a tragic auto accident on Saturday, January 27, 2018.

Abigail was much more than just a soccer player. Abigail was a sister, a daughter, a best friend.  Abigail was a silent leader on our team, whose energy and spirit filled the air.  Abigail had a smile that would light up any room, and her passion for soccer, her friends, her family, and life were unmatched.

We love you Abigail!  As we take the field, we know you will be with us.  We will miss you!

Topeka Select Elite College Committments

Lauren Peterson Verbally Commits To Butler County Community College

Topeka Select Elite defender and mid-fielder Lauren Peterson, #4 , has given her verbal commitment to play soccer for Coach Adam Hunter starting in the fall of 2019.

Lauren has been one of the leaders and a solid center back and midfielder for the 18U Topeka Select Elite who won their last nine games in competitive College Showcases this fall season.

“Lauren is a player who can both stop the opponent's offensive attack, and start our counter-attack. Lauren's height makes her an ideal target for corner kicks, and her leg strength is an added bonus for switching the field of attack. Lauren's versatility lends her to be effective on defending back, center midfield, and offensive wing", stated Topeka Select Elite Coach Brian Cole.

As a Junior at Washburn Rural High School, Lauren will have her 2018 and 2019 seasons ahead of her.

Hannah Spellman Verbally Commits to Benedictine College

Topeka Select Defender, Hannah Spellman #12 has verbally committed to play soccer for coach Lincoln Roblee at Benedictine College the fall of 2019.
